Privacy Policy
This page explains, in plain language, how YOYOPDF handles information: what stays in your browser, the little the site itself stores, and how third-party advertising such as Google AdSense fits in. It describes how the site works today and may change as the site changes.
Summary
- The PDF and image tools run in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to, stored on, or sent to YOYOPDF's servers.
- YOYOPDF's own code stores a few small preferences in your browser's local storage. It does not set cookies of its own.
- YOYOPDF may show advertising provided by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies for that purpose.
- Advertising is separate from file processing: YOYOPDF does not send the files you open in a tool to advertisers.
Your files and local processing
Some tools load additional open-source code libraries when you use them (see "Other third-party resources"). Those libraries run in your browser and do not receive your files from YOYOPDF.
What is stored in your browser
YOYOPDF's own code uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) for:
- Theme – whether you chose the light or dark appearance.
- Language – the interface language you selected.
- Star ratings – a random anonymous identifier, and the rating you gave each tool, so the site can recognise that you already rated it (see below).
This information stays in your browser until you clear your site data. It is not used to identify you.
Star ratings
If you rate a tool, your rating, the tool you rated, and the anonymous identifier described above are sent to YOYOPDF's own rating service so that averages can be shown and repeat votes can update your earlier rating instead of counting twice. To limit abuse, the IP address of the request is converted into a one-way hash that is used only to restrict how many ratings can be submitted in an hour.
Other third-party resources
Like most websites, YOYOPDF loads some resources from other providers. When your browser fetches them, the provider receives the technical information any web request includes, such as your IP address and browser details.
- Open-source code libraries (for example for reading and writing PDFs) are loaded from the cdnjs content delivery network, operated by Cloudflare.
- Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Advertising and Google AdSense
YOYOPDF may use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, including ads based on a person's visits to this site and to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to people based on those visits.
Advertising code is third-party code loaded from Google. It is separate from YOYOPDF's file-processing code, and YOYOPDF does not send your files to advertisers. Advertising code may load on the YOYOPDF homepage and on eligible tool pages; it is not loaded on this Privacy Policy page.
YOYOPDF processes your files locally in your browser and does not upload them to its own servers for processing. That includes the homepage quick-start file box, which hands the file you pick to a tool inside your browser. Advertising code is not written or controlled by YOYOPDF and runs in your browser on the page where it is loaded, so this page cannot describe everything it does. If you would rather not have third-party advertising code on a page while you work with a file, you can use a browser or extension setting that blocks ads.

Managing your choices
- You can manage or turn off ad personalisation for Google's advertising at Google Ad Settings.
- You can block or delete cookies and other site data in your browser's settings. Clearing site data also resets the theme, language, and rating information described above.
Contact
To ask a question about this page, use the Contact option in the header or footer of the YOYOPDF homepage. It opens your own email application with a pre-filled message; YOYOPDF does not store what you type in that form on any server.

This page may be updated as the site or its advertising setup changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
